A day off in Pittsburgh (Day 6)
I woke up early this morning with the goal of visiting Mt. Davis, which is the highest point in Pennsylvania. One of my life goals is to hike to the highest point of each state, and I hadn't checked PA off yet. I left the tiny house at 5AM and made the 1.75 hour drive, arriving just a few minutes before sunrise. The roads in rural PA are a blast to drive on, as long as you don't have a tiny house with smoking brakes behind you!
I got back to the tiny house at around 9AM, spent a while sorting pictures and updating the blog, and then we left for Ty's apartment in the Shadyside neighborhood of Pittsburgh. We each took a shower, and then Ty gave us a driving tour of the city. After that we took him back to the house and gave him the grand tour. With that done, we went back to Pittsburgh and spent the evening walking around. We ended up staying with Ty in his apartment to avoid driving back to the house.
Tomorrow we are headed to Chicago via Columbus, OH. We are taking the southern route to avoid the tolls on I-90 in Ohio and Indiana.
